Saying no to senseless clutter

There were two McCoy vases for $45 each, a salt box that would have looked good on my kitchen wall, and a transfer ware serving platter that Tom and Mike might have liked. I left them all at the yard sale. I am saying no to senseless clutter. By mid-morning and numerous Long Island yard sales (two outdoor lights in giant white plastic flowerpots; amateur paintings of day lilies, narcissi and gorse; boxes of curiously appealing hand-poured metal models), I came up with a new plan. Perhaps it would work to just photograph the most coveted pieces?  No need to own the physical item, I could make do with its image. I tried with two vintage garden sets.  The four high backed wrought iron chairs are $100 for the set. The retro wicker is $275 for all six pieces. They’d look great on my deck, but only the photos will fit in the car.
